Dr David Etheridge is Associate Professor at the Institute of Building Technology, University of Nottingham. 

His research includes: ventilation development of mathematical models of flow through building envelopes, multi-cell and single-cell (crack flow equations and Vent1 and Vent2), development of model-scale measurement techniques development of multi-cell ventilation measurement system (Autovent), development of compact house leakage measurement device, development of heat recovery systems for gas-fired heating appliances patented flue carcass system. Flow measurement and metering development of New Meter Test Facility and test procedures development of two ultrasonic domestic gas meters, in collaboration with external companies
